Optinify's exit-intent technology detects the moment a visitor is about to leave your site and triggers a popup right at that moment. The detection method differs depending on the device:

On desktop, the popup watches the visitor's mouse cursor. When it moves toward the top of the browser where the close button and address bar are located, the system interprets that as a sign the person is about to leave and fires the popup.

On mobile, since there's no mouse to track, it watches for other exit signals instead: a fast scroll in the page or staying still for too long.

Once one of these signals is detected, the popup appears. This creates a "pattern interruption." A brief pause that can be enough to change the visitor's mind.
